THE PRACTICE IS CLOSED PN FRIDAY 22ND AND MONDAY 25TH SEPTEMBER. IN THE CASE OF A MEDICAL EMERGENCY PLEASE CALL NHS 24 ON 111. THE PRACTICE WILL REOPEN AT 8.30am ON TUESDAY 26TH SEPTEMBER.
We are a small friendly practice providing primary healthcare to people residing in Skelmorlie, Wemyss Bay and Inverkip.
If you require a GP consultation this will first be arranged as a phone consultation. Please do not attend the surgery unless invited to do so for a prearranged appointment. You are requested to briefly discuss your problem with the reception staff, so that you may be directed to the right team member for an appointment. Please be aware that reception staff are bound by a confidentialty agreement. As per the current system on the day appointments will be offered from 08:30am.
The Skelmorlie centre will remain closed until further notice. There are several self help links for various issues under 'Health Advice' - please check and utilise these if appropriate.
COVID VACCINES AND FLU VACCINES
Due to high demand and volume of calls to the practice , it would be much appreciated if you could avoid contacting us to ask about the Covid or Flu vaccines. All eligible patients will be invited by NHS Ayrshire & Arran to attend for an appointment . COVID VACCINATION:
If you think you should have received a letter by now with details of either your first, second dose or booster, please see www.nhsinform.scot/covid-19-vaccine/invitations-and-appointments/missing-appointment-details or call the national COVID-19 vaccination helpline on 0800 030 8013.
TRAVEL:
Public Health Scotland have advised that Health Boards and GP Practices should no longer be issuing Fit To Fly letters to patients. Patients should visit the Public Health website for advise:

COVID VACCINATION STATUS SCHEME:
People will be able access their Covid-19 Vaccine Status online, by logging on to www.nhsinform.scot/covid19status OR by telephoning 0808 196 8565.
If you were vaccinated at the Practice, The Inverkip Hub or at home then please follow the below steps:
- Go onto nhsinform.scot/covid19status
- Click on recover username
- Input Name, DOB, Postcode and date of first vaccination
- The system then provides you with a username and asks you to complete registration

COMMUNITY LINK WORKER
Community Link Workers are non-clinical social practitioners who provide support for issues that go beyond the scope of medical treatment.
CLW's can support individuals around a range of social stressors that affect health and wellbeing, for example, money worries, debt, unemployment, social isolation, bereavement supports, alcohol and drug use, managing stress and living a healthier lifestyle.
Our CLW can provide support around the self-management of low mood and anxiety and assist individuals over time to access the resources needed to keep them well.
